INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOURNAL

   “Logopedia” is the organ of the Polish Logopedic Society, continuously published as an annual issue since 1960, which presents articles on the culture of language and biological determinants of speech development and disorders. The descriptions of the norm of language and language disorders cover the linguistic perspective (humanities), psychological and pedagogical perspective (social sciences, and the clinical perspective (medical sciences). The journal is interdisciplinary in scope.

The goal of the journal is to publish original studies in the broad fields of logopedics, linguistics (general and cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistics, and semantics), glottodidactics and related sciences (psychology, pedagogy and medical sciences).

The subjects of the articles published in ”Logopedia” cover all the leading research trends, and each volume contains articles by  the authors who represent different disciplines and develop the state of knowledge about language, speech and speaking from the perspective of diverse theoretical conceptions, using appropriate methodologies and the latest research tools. Each volume is characterized by a cohesive thematic structure and the established formal arrangement subordinated to the subject of logopedic research.

The structure of each volume contains scholarly articles, both theoretical (conceptual and survey papers) and practical (results of empirical studies and procedures for diagnostic/therapeutic management in particular speech disorders).

The journal also publishes case-study articles (results of empirical studies and procedures for diagnostic/therapeutic management in particular speech disorders), reports on and reviews of single-and multi-author monographs in the field of logopedics and related sciences.

“Logopedia” (ISSN 0459-6935)is a recipient of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education program “Support for Scientific Journals”.
