REVIEWERS’ BOARD

Responsibilities of the Reviewers’ Board

The Reviewers’ Board is to ensure the high competence and ethical level of the papers published in “Logopedia”. The principal determinant of a review should be its objectivity, and the criticism and dispute with an author should be based on substantive and scientific arguments expressed in a clear and comprehensible way. Personal criticism is inadmissible. The papers under review are confidential, and cannot be handed over or shown to a third party. Discussion on the texts outside the Editors and Advisory Boards is regarded as inappropriate.

All reviews are anonymous. Reviewers are obliged to refuse to write a review if a conflict of interest arises because of relations with the author or the institution s/he represents. The reviewer should inform the Editors of all cases or suspicions that the author of an article has breached ethical standards. The reviewer who cannot review the paper at the predetermined date should inform the Editors as soon as possible and resign the function of the reviewer.
